Fourth of July has come and gone, and that means summer is halfway over?! Are you racking your brain of how to make the most of it? Are your friends visiting Colorado for the first time and you don’t know where to take them? That’s okay! We got you covered. Here are 10 must-see places and attractions in Colorado Springs.

Interactive Zombie Scavengers Game – $20 per person

Using your smartphones, you and your group will be taken on a self-guided journey throughout the city to collect food, supplies, and weapons to earn points. The more points you earn, the more likely you are to survive. Zombies are crawling everywhere throughout the city, so speed and street smarts are your best friends. You only play with your group, and you can register up to 10 people. No actual zombies are included, so kids can play too! You can find out more here.

Rabbit Hole – $30 dollars and under

In the heart of Colorado Springs, sit a different kind of entrance to a different kind of restaurant. This Alice in Wonderland-themed restaurant pulls out all the stops. It has a fun-tastical array of cocktails to choose from, and a bacon-wrapped meatloaf that will have your mouth watering as you order it. Getting inside the restaurant itself is an adventure. To get in the basement restaurant, you literally take a trip down a rabbit hole to get inside. It is one of the busiest and hippest restaurants in the city, so making a reservation is recommended.

Front Range Climbing Company – from $170

Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you can start your own rock climbing adventure with the professionals. The Front Range Climbing Company offers rock climbing in the Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Canyon, and North Cheyenne Cañon. Each trip lasts from four to six hours, and it gives you a lot of time to learn different climbing techniques that your personal guide will teach you. Need more of a thrill? Penny Arcade – Just pennies!

In five old rooms, 400 different arcade games are housed, waiting for you to come play them. All games are from $0.01 to $1.50 each. They have classic pinball machines, skeeball, DDR, and even boxing machines. (You feelin’ lucky, punk?) The good people at Arcade Amusements in Manitou are always updating their collection with both treasures from the past and brand new games. If you’re feeling nostalgic, this is the perfect place to go.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo – Roughly $20 per person

America’s only mountain zoo is worth repeated visits over and over again. From hand-feeding their internet-famous giraffes to their bald eagles, it’s hard to not go wild over this zoo. They house and enrich the lives of several Rocky Mountain area animals such as bears, goats, and bald eagles. Hold onto your tails and hooves because Msitu is expecting this month! With activities such as artists, musicians, and the adults-only event, Tails, Tunes, and Tastes, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is packed with excitement and fun for all.

Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center – about $10 per person

This fossil museum features not only dinosaurs, but other prehistoric creatures, like reptiles and fish. Like any educational dinosaur museum, they have a children’s play area and lectures. However, there is a working fossil lab that is viewable by visitors. Lots and lots of fossils and dino-mite knowledge are packed inside the space, allowing you and your loved ones to see the past up close. Plan your visit back in time here.

Michael Garman’s Magic Town – $5 per person

What is Magic Town? It’s a 3,000-square-foot miniature city that combines beautifully detailed structures to create a wonderfully wholesome town. All of them were made by Michael Garman himself. He’s spent the past four decades building miniature versions of Colorado, Philadelphia, and so much more. As you walk through the town, you’ll find not only handmade city buildings, but holograms heckling you, lights dimming in and out, and music that takes you into the small world.

Colorado Springs Sunrise Balloon Ride – from $249

Need we say more? This three-and-half hour ride takes you on a trip of a lifetime. You’ll be able to see Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains like never before. After you check-in, you’ll be taken to a launchpad where you’ll see the inflation process. Then, you’ll ride in the air, taking in every bit of the Colorado Sunrise without any distractions. After you land, you’ll be treated to a beautiful champagne breakfast.

Seven Falls – $15.50 per person

Known to the world as ‘the grandest mile of scenery’, this hike is located inside of a natural box canyon that creates the waterfalls’ beautiful view flanked by the Pillars of Hercules. There are two different trails that last either an hour or 30 minutes, give or take. If hiking is not your deal, they have restaurants and gift shops for you to peruse. You don’t want to skip this hike or else you’ll get a serious case of FOMO. It has its own rank of the International Waterfall list in National Geographic.

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park – $28 per person

Finishing off this list is America’s highest suspension bridge and zip line! The star of the show is the suspension bridge itself. The bridge is located 956 feet above the Arkansas River. It’s the only place you can hide the Empire State Building. Yeah. That’s high. If you’re looking for bigger thrills, you can zip line 1,200 feet over the Arkansas River hands-free (say "hi, Mom!"). Or if you’re brave enough, you can give their Skycoaster a shot. Rip through the air at 50 mph. (Don’t tell your mom).
