Maryland is known for its large collection of haunted Halloween attractions. One local favorite, "Bennett's Curse," has just been named one of the Top 5 Legendary Haunts in America by America Haunts, a national association of premier haunted attractions. Located in Dundalk, Bennett's Curse has been terrifying Marylanders since 2001.
Bennett’s Curse has successfully scared thousands of people over the years, including two defensive back rookies from the Baltimore Ravens football team. Last October, the team sent Kyle Hamilton and Pepe Williams to Bennett’s Curse to see how they would fare. As it turns out, not even film studies can prepare you for monsters coming at you from every direction, and the guys were happy when they finally reached the end.
This year, Bennett’s Curse will open the last weekend of September and run weekends through November 4, so you'' be able to get some scares in even after Halloween has come and gone. Bennett’s Curse will also be holding several different theme lights, including Movie Horror Nights, where you can take pictures with your favorite horror movie characters, go on a demon baby scavenger hunt, and enjoy a blackout night where fans will walk through in complete darkness with only tiny glow lights to lead the way. The attraction is also one of the largest Halloween haunted houses that is operated completely indoors.
Tickets start at $27.99 per person and can be purchased online ahead of your visit. Guests can add food, merchandise, 3D glasses, and line passes to their tickets. Upgrades can be purchased at the gate, cash only. Time slots are expected to fill up, so get your tickets before the rush!
Bennett’s Cures is located in Dundalk at the Eastpoint Mall. Bennett’s Curse is not recommended for kids under 10, and parental discretion advised.
