The postseason begins today for the Oklahoma Sooners, who prepare to take on the Kansas Jayhawks in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament. The Jayhawks advanced after a 6-5 win over the Houston Cougars in the 7-10 game on Wednesday.

After a strong start to Big 12 play, the Jayhawks lost their last 10 conference games. Though the schedule makers did them no favors with back to back series against Texas and Oklahoma State before closing the season getting swept by BYU.

The Oklahoma Sooners are looking to continue their success from the Sunday win over Oklahoma State. It was the first time in more than a decade that the Sooners didn’t take home the Big 12 regular season title. However, despite the series losses to Texas and Oklahoma State, Oklahoma finished with the No. 2 seed. The Big 12 tournament offers an opportunity to put their best foot forward as they prepare for the NCAA tournament to follow.
