Holly DeHerrera grew up as a military brat, traveling the world with her family. Her novel, titled "The Orphan Maker’s Sin" grew out of her experiences living in Turkey during the Gulf War. Her Amish and Mennonite roots color her stories, too, and she finds joy in the old stories and recipes of her salt-of-the-earth heritage, birthing her Middlebury Mysteries series. Holly loves sharing her love of writing with kids and young adults alike, and she has poured that into her creative writing curriculum, titled "Unleash the Pen." Holly married a native Colorado man, and together they enjoy raising and homeschooling five kids.
