A true Jersey Girl at heart, Jaclyn grew up in suburban Jersey and in the salty waves of the Jersey shore -- literally. She moved to Virginia in 2008 to earn a degree from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA, and fell in love with the area. From then on, she knew that Washington, D.C., was where she wanted to enjoy international cuisine, experience a wealthof culture and events, and enjoy encountering puppies on the sidewalk. Jaclyn works to experience D.C. for all its worth. Most of all, she’s chased her dreams, receiving her MFA from Columbia University to effectively write content she loves. Jaclyn shares her free time with her family, friends, snuggling up to a good book or movie, or going on an adventure in the D.C. metro area.
