Man on e-scooter killed in hit-and-run crash near Aberdeen, police say
Adam Matthew Lingenfelter, 43, of Aberdeen, died at the scene of the crash on westbound U.S. Route 40 near Oakington Road near Aberdeen, state police said. According to a preliminary investigation, Lingenfelter was riding an electric scooter on the shoulder of the westbound lanes around 6:50 a.m. when a vehicle struck him.
