Arkansas lawmakers OK emergency rule barring electronic signatures for voter registration; change starts Saturday
The vote by the Arkansas Legislative Council's Executive Subcommittee allows the rule to take effect Saturday, and it will be in place for 120 days while state election officials work on a permanent rule. Instead, applicants will be required to sign voter registration forms with a pen, also known as a "wet signature."
