It's the last couple weeks of summer, so you need to soak up your free time while you can! We've got you covered with plenty of fun activities to end your summer with a bang! Check out this compiled list of everything going on in Hampton Roads, Richmond, and Williamsburg this weekend, August 23–25! 

Hampton Roads

Norfolk Waterfront Jazz Festival | Town Point Park, Norfolk | Friday and Saturday

Celebrate the wonderful world of jazz at Hampton Roads' largest jazz festival. Here, you can enjoy a night filled with smooth jazz that will be performed by Grammy Award-winning bands at Norfolk's popular waterfront venue. Tickets are $30-$200. Learn more here!

Neptune's Coastal Craft Beer Festival | Virginia Beach Oceanfront | Saturday

The Neptune Festival! There will be over 30 local and regional craft brewers, 65 original craft beers and ciders, delicious food, live music, and so much more for a very reasonable price of just $35! Yorktown Market Days | Riverwalk Landing, Yorktown | Ongoing

Step on out to Riverwalk Landing to venture the most unique farmers' market in all of Hampton Roads (it even says so on their website!). They offer seasonal-themed events, chef demonstrations, live music, and a wide variety of vendors who sell locally grown and locally made foods, as well as plenty of homemade items. The Yorktown market also offers a breathtaking view of the York River. The event is free and open to the public; if you want to keep track of the events, check them out on their website

Virginia Beach Funkfest | 24th Street, Virginia Beach Oceanfront | Friday and Saturday

Bask in the past with funk-themed bands and homestyle food that will take you back to the good ol' days. Admission to the concert is free but a preferred viewing ticket is optional for $30 (available at the box office exclusively) and $50 for a two-day viewing ticket. Some of the featured bands will be Zapp, Midnight Star, and The Ohio Players. For more information, check it out here!

Richmond

End of Summer Family Fest | 2935 W Marshall St. | Sunday

Are you looking for a way to end summer with a bang? Well, the End of Summer Family Fest will feature, games, music, food, and many different items for sale such as vintage and home decor. Part of the proceeds will help plant trees in the Scott's Addition neighborhood! You get to enjoy a fun evening and donate to charity—now, that's how you end your summer! Best of all? Yoga and Brunch Flow | Main Stage | Saturday

The Upside Down RVA: A Stranger Things-Inspired '80s Dance Party | The Broadberry | Saturday

Who's ready to step into the Upside Down to fight off a Demogorgon with some rad dance moves? Well, The Broadberry is hosting a very special '80s dance party inspired by the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things! The Broadberry will be decked out in Stranger Things-inspired decorations with a photo booth and live performances by Film on Girls ('80s covers), Ships in the Night, and Synthetic Division!
