Kwanzaa, "A Christmas Carol," and wine tastings—it's the holidays in the DMV!

Happy holidays, everybody! We've finally reached the end-point for the big kahuna that is Christmas Day. While this year hasn't exactly been ideal, we've been overwhelmed by the displays of holiday cheer found all over the DMV. Keep the good vibes going with something fun to do, whether it's a virtual concert, a wine tasting, or a radio performance of an all-time Christmas classic!

Here's your weekend roundup for Friday, December 25, to Sunday, December 27:

A Christmas Carol: Radio Play | Ford's Theatre | Washington, D.C. | Friday

This Christmas, gather 'round the radio for a special production of A Christmas Carol! In a retro wrist, Ford's Theatre is bringing Dickens' classic tale to WAMU 88.5 FM starring Craig Wallace as Ebenezer Scrooge. The perfect excuse to stay in your PJs and make some cocoa! It's a Kwanzaa Celebration! (Virtual) | DC Metro Area | Saturday

Kwanzaa starts December 26, and this year Creative Suitland is celebrating digitally. Between 5-7 p.m., hosts Stan "Substantial" Robinson and Brother Victorious will MC an inspiring lineup of artists, musicians, and activists in the DMV area. Jolly Express Cruise | 1 Dock Street | Annapolis, MD | Saturday-Sunday

All aboard the Santa express! Enjoy a relaxing ride aboard the Miss Anne cruise ship with hot chocolate, music, and scenic views of Spa Creek. With Santa at the helm, you're in for a jolly time! Winter Glow | George Washington's Mount Vernon | Mount Vernon, VA | Saturday-Sunday

Mount Vernon's still glowing! Enjoy a festive evening outside with a wide variety of entertainment—food, Christmas carollers, and of course, those breath-taking lights. Guests can bring home a pre-assembled craft kit for indoor fun with the fam! You only have until December 28 to experience those sparkling lights before they're gone! Christmas Day Organ Recital (Online) | Washington National Cathedral | Washington, D.C. | Friday

Tune in to a very special concert courtesy of Washington National Cathedral. Musicians Thomas Sheehan and George Fergus will delight viewers with beloved holiday songs played on the church's organ. Zoo Lights | The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore | 1 Safari Place | Baltimore, MD | Ongoing

Zoo lovers, have you gone to Zoo Lights yet? By car or on foot, bask in the glow of 100,000 LED lights resembling your favorite animals, from ferocious lions to funky iguanas. A Riverside Family Christmas | Riverside Center for the Performing Arts | Fredericksburg, VA | Saturday-Sunday

Christmas may be coming to an end, but not at Riverside Center! This cheerful production combines music, dance, and storytelling that exemplifies the wholesome spirit of the holiday. Triple Threat: Chocolate, Cheese & Wine | Little Washington Winery | Washington, VA | Sunday

Chocolate, cheese, and wine--need we say more? Little Washington Winery is an expert in all three, and this 90-minute class lets visitors taste their way through the holy trinity of flavors, along with trying new combinations. Ocean City's brightest light show continues! View cheerful holiday scenes throughout Northside Park, among them a 50-foot tree and animated displays coming to life.
