Join Sandy Spring Museum for a summer beer garden right on their front lawn! Hosted monthly over the summer, guests can gather for local brews and bites while enjoying outdoor entertainment on the museum's grounds. This month's theme, Caribbean Night will transport you to a vibrant paradise with food truck Reggae Vibes, Loew Vineyards, Silver Branch Brewing, and the talented steelpan player Domenic Lewis. Smithsonian Folklife Festival (Virtual) | Washington, DC | Friday-Sunday

Brought to you by the Smithsonian, this unique showcase highlights the diverse cultures that make up our world, and this year's event offers a mix of in-person and virtual programming. Watch a cooking demo for Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup, explore the art of Sengelese metalsmithing, and learn about Palestinian heritage through food and poetry. FREE event! Head on over to Old Mill Park for a cultural bonanza. There'll be refreshments, live entertainment, and kite-flying from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can also shop unique, one-of-a-kind treasures from over 60 vendors, including ceramics and hand-crafted jewelry. Make sure to wear a mask and practice social distancing, as CDC guidelines will be enforced. Pride Ride Group Bike Event | Shaw-Howard U Street Metro to Dupont Circle Metro | Washington, DC | Saturday

Happy Pride month! Normally we associate Pride with a parade, but how about a bike ride to shake things up? Presented by goDCgo and We Ride DC, ride through DC's Capital Pride Parade route covering queer-owned businesses, parks, and other landmarks significant to LGBTQ+ history and liberation. DC's Royals: A Celebration of Drag | Dupont Underground | 19 Dupont Circle NW | Washington, DC | Saturday

What do you know about drag? This engaging showcase from Dupont Underground goes beyond RuPaul's Drag Race and into its long history in our nation's capital. Learn about its early roots in an exhibit featuring archival photos and footage during the day, followed by a live drag show at 8 p.m. All ages are welcome, so invite your family and friends to join in on the fun! Summer concert season is here, and what better way to kick things off than with The Columbia Orchestra? The venue's going to be hosting LGBTQ+-friendly food trucks, live musicians, and local businesses from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. both outdoors and indoors. Kids are gonna love the crafts and snow cones (though let's be real, adults will too!) Proceeds raised will benefit Safe Space NOVA, which supports LGBTQ+ youth across Northern Virginia. In Montgomery County, it's time to walk with pride! Come hang out at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Park for a fun-filled evening celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. Take a stroll through the park while enjoying food trucks like Pop Up Poutine & Patisserie, games, and live tunes supplied by DJ Confetti the First.
