Happy St. Patrick's Day! Before you go hopping off to the rainbow's end for that pot of gold, take a look at our weekend recommendations. Between St. Patrick's Day parades, bar crawls, and other fun events (maple syrup festival, anyone?) there's plenty to do this weekend in the DMV. Just put on something green (leprechaun repellant), and you're good to go!

St. Patrick's Day Parade (NOTE: Postponed Indefinitely)

Celebrating 50 years in the nation's capital, this famous parade is a must for experiencing St. Patrick's Day! From 12 to 3 p.m., come celebrate Irish culture with a parade procession covering 10 blocks on Constitution Avenue. Admission is free, but attendees are welcome to make a donation. The Cat in the Hat

Dr. Seuss's iconic character is coming to the stage in Katie Mitchell's charming adaptation of The Cat in the Hat. Witness the hijinks that occur as the Cat in the Hat visits two bored children on a rainy day at home while their mother is away. The Shamrock Crawl

Hop like a leprechaun across Dupont Circle's bar scene, enjoying drink deals like $2 Miller Lites and $4 Shamrock shots from 2 to 10 p.m. There will also be tasty food specials offered at each location. Maple Syrup Festival

Maple. Syrup. Festival. No arms will need to be twisted to attend this amazing event! Experience the taste of real maple syrup with a delicious pancake breakfast, sugaring demos, and outdoor activities including a scenic hike along the Falls. Aoife O'Donovan

Featuring "Songs & Strings," Aoife O'Donovan is bringing a dazzling evening of music to Wolf Trap. The Irish-American songwriter (Crooked Still, I'm With Her) will play through the song cycle "Bull Frogs Croon" as well as solo compositions spanning her career. Combining bluegrass, folk, and poetry, O'Donovan's talent is rare to come by. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets start at $37. Buy them here!
HopFest 2020

Six years and running, D.C.'s premier beer festival is back! Sample dozens of beers by local breweries including Denizens, Atlas Brew Works, and D.C. St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival

There's no St. Paddy's Day parade quite like Ocean City's! Beginning at noon, watch a colorful procession of marching units, floats, and more down Coastal Highway, along with a judging portion at the 45th Street parking lot. Women in Aviation and Space Family Day

March is Women's History Month, and at the National Air and Space Museum, it's all about powerful women!
