It's Independence Day weekend, and there are plenty of patriotic activities throughout the city to celebrate the Fourth of July.

There are a variety of events this weekend to celebrate Independence Day, including a block party in Larimer Square and a music festival in Evergreen. Blues Traveler and Zeds Dead plays at Red Rocks or enjoy jazz in City Park or live music at the Corner Bar Patio. The PACE Center in Parker presents Little Shop of Horrors and the Colorado Avalanche take on the Seattle Sounders. All this and more, this weekend in Denver.

A Fantastic 4th Weekend

Zeds Dead

By pulling from a vast array of source material (Radiohead, The Rolling Stones, The Moody Blues, Sublime), and molding it into their unique brand of dance-floor classics, Zeds Dead has established itself as a dominant force in electronic dance music circles and have received recognition and praise from tastemakers worldwide.

Colorado Renaissance Festival

Party on the Square

The Polish Ambassador

4th of July Evergreen Music Festival

Blues Traveler

Thirty years ago, the four original members of Blues Traveler, who had known each other since their early teens: John Popper, Chandler Kinchla, the late Bobby Sheehan, and Brendan Hill gathered in the basement of their drummer's parents' Princeton, New Jersey, home and the seeds were planted for a band who has released a total of 13 studio albums, four of which have gone gold, three platinum, and one six-times platinum. 

City Park Jazz: Purnell Steen and The Five Points Ambassadors

Park Hill 4th of July Parade

Where: Park Hill Neighborhood, Northeast Denver, 2300 Dexter Street, Denver
Cost: Free

Denver's largest Independence Day march will be filled with new groups and returning favorites, marching along 23rd Ave. from Dexter St. to Krameria St.
