From Solo: A Star Wars Story to Incredibles 2 to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and everything in between, this summer's movie release schedule is STACKED. Here are 18 movies we'll definitely be checking out this summer!
I'm a HUGE movie fan. Just ask any of my family members or friends. They'll tell you that more often than not, I'm either at the movie theater or at home watching one from my own collection. I love a wide variety of genres -- except horror movies, for a plethora of reasons that we're not going to get into today -- and when I took a glance at this summer's movie release schedule, it got me excited because there's a movie out there that'll pique everyone's interests.
Though, I am a bit apprehensive because while there are A TON of incredible movies coming out, it ain't gonna be cheap. (My bank account is already crying at the thought.)
Here are 18 movies you'll absolutely want to mark down on your calendars this summer! I know I already have. ;)
Breaking In | May 11

Starring Gabrielle Union,
Breaking In focuses on a single mother who takes her two children to her late father's high-tech estate in the countryside. But when a group of men break into the house in search of something and take her children hostage, she'll stop at nothing to protect her family.
Why We're Excited: There's just something so satisfying about watching Gabrielle Union kick grown men's asses.

Everybody's favorite anti-hero Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is back, along with a slew of new and returning sidekicks, and he's pitted against Josh Brolin's Cable. Expect plenty of third-wall breaks, meta jokes, and tons of ass-kicking.
Why We're Excited: After that inspiring
music video performance by Deadpool and, of course, Celine Dion, how could you NOT be excited about this highly-anticipated sequel?

Solo: A Star Wars Story | May 25

The latest addition to the Disney-Star Wars machine is that of
Solo: A Star Wars Story, a movie that focuses on the Corellian smuggler Han Solo's early days. Solo teams up with a rag-tag group of unique individuals, including fan-favorites Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) as well as newcomers Kira (Emilia Clarke) and Beckett (Woody Harrelson).
Why We're Excited: We're here for Donald Glover. That is all.

Based on a true story, a group of friends and their elaborate game of tag that started when they were kids has followed them into adulthood, with most of them risking their lives and jobs to take each other down. And during all that time, only one member of the group remains undefeated.
Why We're Excited: Watching grown adults partake in an all-out war of tag is bound to be full of physical comedy, and we're so here for it.

After the insanity and heartache that was
Avengers: Infinity War, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe could use a few laughs to tide them over until the unnamed
Avengers 4 movie set to come out next year. And
Ant-Man and the Wasp, starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, is certainly going to get the job done!
Why We're Excited: Seeing Michael Peña crack jokes left and right. 'Cause, c'mon, we all know he stole the show in the first movie -- who's to say he won't do it again!

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation | July 13

The third
Hotel Transylvania movie follows the mismatched monster family we came to love from the first movies as they embark on a luxury cruise, including exploring exotic locales, participating in monster-themed activities, and being able to catch up on their moon tans (see what I did there?).
Why We're Excited: It's a fun movie that the kids will enjoy and, most importantly, it'll keep them distracted for a few hours. So, you know, you're welcome.

Christopher Robin | August 3

Journey to the Hundred Acre Wood and meet up with some old friends in this live-action adaptation of the beloved Winnie the Pooh series. Along the way, you'll meet an older Christopher Robins, played by Ewan McGregor, as he is thrust back into the world of his childhood.
Why We're Excited: Jim Cummings is voicing Winnie the Pooh. Enough said.

There seems to be an influx of shark movies lately. Between last year's

and the ridiculous
Sharknado franchise, people have had a refound fascination with sharks, for some reason. This time, it's Jason Statham battling a shark! And not just any shark, the Megalodon -- a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark.

Crazy Rich Asians | August 17
