Due to health and safety concerns, the festival has decided to look ahead to the 2021 season.

Every year, the Colorado Renaissance Festival brings in folks of all ages to enjoy an 8-weekend-long event that's full of magic, jousting, pirates, and so much more. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the fan-favorite festival will not be happening this year as originally planned.

"Due to the continuing health and safety concerns related to COVID-19 pandemic we have made the difficult decision to not open the Colorado Renaissance Festival in 2020.

We have been hopeful that circumstances would improved so that we could operate safely, however due to guidelines and restrictions put in place by the state of Colorado, the County Health department, and for the safety of all involved and the community we feel this is in the best interest of everyone," says the festival on its website.

Despite the Colorado Renaissance Festival not happening this year, officials have released the dates for its 2021 season. The festival will be held from June 12 through August 1, 2021.
