A beloved 14-year tradition, the Richmond Folk Festival celebrates American culture's origins and diversity through performances, food, and other means. You'll have the chance to enjoy more than 30 live performances, a Virginia Folklife demonstration area, activities for kids, a marketplace filled with unique and interesting merchandise, movies from the festival's film fest, and more. And did we mention that this event is free!?

Urbanna Oyster Festival

WHEN: November 2-3
WHERE: Urbanna, Virginia

Oyster lovers, rejoice! For the 61st year, Urbanna is hosting its annual celebration of the local oyster industry with parades, wine tastings, shucking contests, and all things oyster-related. Try and buy oysters to your heart's content! This is seriously the event of the year for anyone remotely interested in the history and preparation of Virginia's oysters.
