39 tigers and three bears from the Greater Wynnewood (G.W.) Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma now reside in the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg.

According to Wild Animal Sanctuary Executive Director Pat Craig, some of the animals that once lived at the Greater Wynnewood (G.W.) Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma, which was featured in the insanely popular Netflix docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, now live in Colorado.

The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg has rescued 39 tigers and three bears from the G.W. Zoo.

“It was super overcrowded and running out of food,” Craig told 9NEWS. “People who exploit animals are all over. That’s one of our big battles. One of our missions is to educate people about this problem.”

Ever since Tiger King has been released on Netflix, Craig said that he's received a "few calls," but hopes that the story will bring awareness to the Wild Animal Sanctuary's mission and to shed light on the privately-owned exotic animal market across the country.

Currently, the Keenesburg sanctuary is home to 80 habitats and encompasses 789 acres.
