Eli 💪 It’s not a part of the winemaking process that gets a lot of attention, but filtering out the left over grape skins, seeds, etc., aka the pomace, after pressing is an important part of the lifecycle of our farm. The pomace, often used in Italy for spirits such as grappa, is an important fertilizer here at Wessex Hundred. We take the pomace and use it in our garden as it contains vital nutrients that are beneficial to the soil.
