All federal employees can now catch up on their favorite movies with Alamo’s free movie-a-day promotion.

Are you affected by the shutdown, but still haven’t seen Aquaman or Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse? Well, don’t let the shutdown shut down your family movie night. Head to your local Alamo to take back the night and catch up on your favorite films.

According to Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Woodbridge, every one of the franchise’s Virginia theaters is offering one free movie a day to federal employees throughout the entire month of January, or until the partial government shutdown is over.

To redeem your free movie, simply head to a participating Alamo Drafthouse and show a valid federal employee ID or badge. The promotion is good for any new or currently released film and can be cashed in at the following locations:

  • Alamo Drafthouse Ashburn: 20575 Easthampton Plaza, Ashburn, VA 20147
  • Alamo Drafthouse Woodbridge: 15200 Potomac Town Place, Suite 100, Woodbridge, VA 22191
  • Alamo Drafthouse Charlottesville: 375 Merchant Walk Square, Charlottesville, VA 22902
  • Alamo Drafthouse Winchester: 181 Kernstown Commons Boulevard, Winchester, VA 22602

The promotion allows you to see one movie a day but is not valid for family members or guests. You also cannot use the free movie ticket for special programs such as advance screenings, movie parties, or the theater’s iconic afternoon tea.

Alamo Drafthouse is an innovative theater offering a very innovative deal. While you are watching your free movie, you can also indulge in some of the best movie snacks around. Some of these snacks are even themed based on the film you’re watching! The friendly Alamo staff simply bring your food to your seat so that you don’t ever miss a minute of your film.

Do you plan to take advantage of this deal at Alamo Drafthouse? Let us know if you’re going and what film you’re most excited to see!
