The Arlington National Cemetery needs help with placing wreaths on every soldier's grave. Here are ways that you can help!

The Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) is one of America's hallowed grounds, and applying wreaths to each soldier's gravestone is a bit of a holiday tradition. The issue, however, is that a lot of help is needed to place wreaths on every tombstone, and then to clean up by removing these wreaths at a later time and date. That is where Wreaths Across America, a nonprofit organization with a mission to remember, honor, and teach, has been stepping up to help. There are many causes and organizations to support this holiday season. But here's why Wreaths Across America is important:
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1,200 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad."
On Saturday, December 16 -- National Wreaths Across America Day -- volunteers will lay a wreath on each soldier's grave at Arlington and other cemeteries across the country, saying the soldier's name aloud in remembrance.

How Do I Donate Time?

There is no sign-up or registration required for individuals and their families to attend this event. However, if you're interested in volunteering, you can find out more here. [caption id="attachment_6456" align="alignnone" width="750"]wreaths Image courtesy of Wreaths Across America[/caption]

Other Ways to Help

Wreaths Across America also has a way for people to donate money toward funding the process involved with procuring, transporting, and allocating its own resources to make sure every tombstone is adorned, and no soldier is ever forgotten this holiday season. Click here to learn how a $15 donation can honor a fallen hero with a wreath. What do you think about this wreath-focused cause? Will you be giving time or other resources to Wreaths Across America?
