Congrats, Baltimore residents! You are the worst drivers in the country.
There's a lot to love about the city of Baltimore. What's not to love, however, is the city's horrible drivers -- according to a recent Allstate study, at least.
Allstate has recently ranked drivers in the nation's 200 largest cities in their "Best Drivers Report." Allstate examined property damage frequency to decide which citizens are the safest. The report looked at other factors as well, such as the average years between claims, relative claim likelihood, and 2018 Drivewise hard-braking events per 1,000 miles.
Out of the top 200 cities, Washington, D.C., ranked at No. 198, followed by Boston, Massachusetts, and Baltimore, Maryland, in dead last. Coming in at No. 1, with the best drivers was Brownsville, Texas, followed by Kansas City, Kansas; Boise, Idaho; and Huntsville, Alabama.

Baltimore has an average number of 3.8 years between claims, making its drivers 163 percent more likely to file a claim than the national average. Drivers also experienced 29.3 Drivewise hard-braking events per 1,000 miles. Not only did Baltimore rank poorly this year, but it ranked a spot worse than the did last year.
So, get out on the road and drive carefully!
