Panels, book sales, and raffles make up the literary goodies for this free event.
Book lovers, rejoice: The Annapolis Book Festival is coming back to Key School! As one of the biggest book events in the region drawing over 3,000 visitors annually, it's a must for readers of all ages. Visitors can attend panels showcasing local and nationally-renowned writers and enjoy a plethora of activities.

Here are a few of the panels you won't want to miss:
Roger McNamee discussing his book Zucked: Waking Up to the Facebook Catastrophe. The Silicon Valley financier is a successful venture capitalist who served as a mentor to Mark Zuckerberg during the early days of Facebook.
DeRay Mckesson will talk about his book On the Other Side of Freedom: The Case of Hope. A civil rights activist, his book describes the time he spent as an organizer in the Black Lives Matter movement.
Maria Hiaasen will discuss her late husband Rob Hiaasen's novel Float Plan. A victim of the Capital Gazette shooting in 2018, Hiaasen's novel was published posthumously in September 2018.

Along with the talks, there will be refreshments, live music, and children's entertainment. Swing by the book sale for some new and used titles, or enter to win one of the many amazing prizes from their Book Basket Raffle. All the baskets are organized by Key School parents and include everything from camping essentials to spa-day packages. One ticket begins at $10. You can buy them here.
