Police in Takoma Park, Maryland, responded to 911 calls of a domestic dispute, and that's where things got crazy. Oluwafunmi Gbolade, a 23-year-old from Washington, D.C., was arrested on Monday after allegedly trying to slit a man's throat with a knife. She has since been charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, and Malicious Destruction of Property. Gbolade has an extremely tacky tattoo: a bow-tie on her neck. That's not all. Initial reports suggested this was just one of your run-of-the-mill stabbings. But as more information became available, news broke that Oluwafunmi Gbolade actually threw a knife at a man's neck. How did her victim not see this coming? A woman named Oluwafunmi with a bow-tie tattoo on her neck is exactly the kind of person you'd expect to pull some ninja skills out of her pocket and start flicking knives around.
Honestly, this woman kind of looks like a trained assassin. Hear me out: I imagine that assassins frequent fancy dinner parties all the time. With a bow-tie tattoo, she is always prepared for a black-tie event. It's genius. And throwing knives? They're the perfect weapon. Completely silent and also plentiful at dinner parties.
Like any trained assassin, Gbolade threw her knife at the target and then fled the scene. Had it not been for eye-witnesses (and her incredibly memorable bowtie tattoo!), she would have gotten away with this sneak attack.
Her male victim was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover. He told police that Gbolade was trying to slit his throat, meaning that this bow-tied woman's aim with a knife was strangely ... accurate.
And the mugshot ... that smirk ... Social media also took notice.
