The popular school fundraising program has finally gone digital.

Turning in box tops to your children’s school has just become a lot easier. General Mills' Box Tops for Education program has launched a new smartphone app for the upcoming school year. The popular school fundraising program has contributed more than $900 million to schools since its inception in 1996. The new app will make it easy and quick to claim box tops and hopefully increase the number of families that participate in the program. In celebration of the new app, General Mills will be holding a contest in which five schools will win a $20,000 school makeover.

Say goodbye to clipping and hounding your children to turn in those box tops. The new Box Tops app will allow you to simply scan your grocery receipt and get the eligible points credited to the school of your choice.

“Box Tops for Education has made a significant impact in school fundraising over the last 23 years, and we’re evolving the ways schools can earn cash,” said Erin Anderson, manager, Box Tops for Education. “Modernizing Box Tops to fit the needs of today’s families brings the next generation of supporters and brands into the program, so we can stay true to our mission: to help schools get what they need.”

The free app is available on iTunes and Google Play. Your school will earn 10 cents for every eligible item on your receipt. You can still get credit for the remaining box tops in your cabinet by turning them into your school by November 15, 2019.

Want to help your school win one of the $20,000 school makeover prizes? Earn one entry for every receipt scanned now through November 15, 2019. Visit BoxTops4Education.com to find a list of products eligible for the Box Tops program.
