Enjoy rugby, red ales, and much more at this Glendale beerfest.
Colorado has no shortage of beer fests because beer is our state spirit animal. But not all of them offers a chance for attendees to watch scrums while you sip suds to your heart’s content.
This Friday and Saturday, Aug. 24 and 25, Glendale’s Bruises and Brews Beerfest invites rugby fans and beer aficionados alike to Infinity Park. The two-day event features 20 different breweries and a few distilleries, as well. Check out what’s on tap.
A ticket gets you a taster mug for unlimited tastes, access to sponsors and vendors, and entrance into the RugbyTown 7s tournament, featuring our very own Denver 7S Selects. The three-day tournament attracts 20 top domestic and international rugby teams who will battle it out to raise the cup and win the $10,000 purse.
“Rugby Sevens is a variant on traditional 15-a-side play and continues to grow in popularity throughout the world. Glendale’s signature weekend-long tournament boasts fastpaced, high-caliber rugby,” said RugbyTown 7s.

Come out and enjoy the weather, the beer, and the games. Don’t forget a designated driver! DDs can purchase a single-day admission ticket to RugbyTown7s and join you on the Festival Plaza. The Glendale Bruises and Brews is an event you won’t want to miss because, as the beerfest says, “Beer and rugby… they are better together!”
