Dates Announced for Capitals' 'Rock the Rink' Nights at Local Ice Rinks

The Capitals are sponsoring special "Rock the Rink" skates at ice rinks in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.

The Washington Capitals have announced the times and locations for this season's Rock the Rink skates around the DMV. The team will post the special skates at four ice rinks in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Slapshot will be there to greet fans, take photos, and hand out giveaways. Each rink will have unique Capitals-themed snacks along with discounts for those who come to skate wearing their Capitals gear.

District of Columbia

The Wharf

Sat., Jan. 18 | 1 p.m.
Fri., Jan. 31 | 6 p.m.
Mon., Feb. 17 | 1 p.m.

The Wharf Ice Rink will have Caps trivia, giveaways, and Capitals-themed cocktails and s’mores. Slapshot will be at the Jan. 31 and Feb. 17 skates, and Capitals games will be aired live during the skates that fall on a game night. Fans who wear Capitals gear will get $5 off admission.

Maryland

Rockville Town Square

Fri., Jan 31. | 5:30 p.m.
Thur., Mar. 5 | 6 p.m.

Slapshot and Rockville native Haley Skarupa will be on hand to mingle with the fans while a DJ blasts music for the skaters. Watch the game live at the nearby bars and restaurants while enjoying Capitals food and drink specials. Anyone wearing Capitals gear will get a free skate rental.

The Avenue at White Marsh

Fri., Feb. 7 | 6 p.m.

When you’re finished dancing and skating the night away with Slapshot, head to The Avenue restaurants for Capitals-themed specials. Wear a jersey or your favorite Capitals clothing to get a free skate rental.

Virginia

Pentagon Row

Thur., Feb. 27 | 7 p.m.
Mon., Mar. 9 | 6 p.m.

Head to Pentagon Row for some of the last Rock the Rink skates of the season. There will be a DJ, giveaways, and an appearance by Slapshot. Watch the game live at the nearby bars and restaurants, and don’t forget to wear Capitals gear to get a free skate rental.
