The Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival is BACK in Virginia Beach on Saturday, August 12, 2017 for its second year!
Head to Hunt Club Farm in Virginia Beach this weekend and enjoy good beers, good bourbons, and lots of BBQ. The Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival is advertised as a “great day of beer sippin’, bourbon tastin’, music listenin’, and barbeque eatin’.” Each guest will receive a souvenir tasting glass that they can use to sample any or all of the 40 bourbons and 60 beers on tap. The tasting glass is unlimited, but guests are asked to drink responsibly. The first 200 people in line for each tasting session will receive a free "Collectible BBQ" bag. The barbecue promises a full selection — everything from pulled pork to whole hogs, including ribs, brisket, chicken, sausages, and pretty much every fixing you can imagine. There will be bacon tastings, as well as seminars from the area’s master distillers. The festival will also have what organizers are calling "The Shrine of Swine," featuring pulled pork right from the source... the pig! The "Shrine" will bring in a new pig every hour. That is a lot of pork...
The main stage promises live Rock and Roll, Blues, and Bluegrass music all day long and the overall floor plan will be larger this year so attendees aren't as crowded.
The “Regular Session” will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017. People who opt for the VIP tickets get in two hours early on Saturday. VIP attendees will get two extra hours of exclusive tastings.
Tickets are broken down into different classes, ranging from $25 – 55 for single day tickets. Tickets get more expensive at the door and are expected to sell out, so anyone interested in this amazing festival of food and drink should purchase their tickets online in advance. Designated Driver tickets are $25 and do not come with a complimentary tasting glass (obviously). These DD tickets can only be purchased at the door. The festival website advertises a discount for all active military personnel.
