Desire a peaceful weekend? Gather your loved ones and experience the bewitching sight of floating lanterns on the water at the Water Lantern Festival!

This all-ages event combines outdoor fun and breath-taking visuals to create an unforgettable experience in the D.C. region. Chow down on dishes from a variety of food vendors, experience live music, and end the night with a launching of the lanterns. Participants can write whatever they wish on their lantern and then release it into the water. It's the perfect way to unwind with loved ones and connect with the people around you!

Adult ticket-holders will receive access into the festival space, a souvenir drawstring bag, wristband, marker, and your very own floating lantern! Tickets also include the price of cleanup after the event. The event is focused on sustainability, so lanterns are made of environmentally-friendly rice paper and wood!

The Water Lantern Festival will take place Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the National Harbor from 4-9:30 p.m. The festival recommends arriving between 4 and 6, which should provide ample time to navigate traffic and enjoy the festivities that lay ahead.
