Here are five New Year's Day brunch spots to celebrate 2018!

Most of us will want nothing more than to roll out of bed at noon on the first day of 2018 and indulge in a hearty Bloody Mary and some greasy breakfast food to recover from all the partying we did the night before. Well, if you're in the Washington, D.C. area, have no fear, because the city has you covered with New Year’s Day brunch options. Here are five to consider.

Farmers Fishers Bakers

Where: 3000 K Street NW, Washington Harbour Brunch hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. [caption id="attachment_6205" align="aligncenter" width="640"]brunch Courtesy of bitcheswhobrunch.com[/caption] This brunch is amazing on any weekend, but the restaurant will be pulling out all the stops for New Year’s Day. If you love to try a bit of everything and are going to have no patience waiting for your order to be made, Farmers Fishers Bakers is the spot for you. Their full brunch buffet will feature differently themed tables so you can get your fill of all the breakfast (and lunch) goodies. Load up on your proteins, such as Honey Pot Fried Chicken, Meatballs, and Breakfast Jambalaya at the Butcher’s Table. Then head to the Gardner’s Table for an assortment of tasty veggie salads to complement all your meat. And if you’re still wanting more, the Carver’s Table will serve House Cured Ham, Grilled Thick-Cut Bacon, and Sweet Bread French Toast. And of course you can’t forget about dessert. Farmers Fishers Bakers is also known for their carefully prepared craft cocktails, so make sure to try one of their brunch concoctions, such as the FF Bloody Mary or the Sparkling Punch. The full brunch menu can be viewed here, and goes for $32 a person, which includes food and coffee/tea. Alcoholic beverages are sold separately.

Medium Rare

Where: Capitol Hill: -- 515 8th Street SE Washington, D.C. | Cleveland Park -- 3500 Connecticut Avenue NW Washington, D.C. | Bethesda -- 4904 Fairmont Avenue Bethesda, MD 20814 Brunch Hours: 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. [caption id="attachment_6206" align="aligncenter" width="1390"]brunch Courtesy of Medium Rare[/caption] If you don’t even want (or truly can’t) get dressed, head to Medium Rare for their pajama brunch. What better way to get over your hangover than with some steak and eggs in your furry socks and Christmas patterned bottoms. The restaurants has three locations (the Capitol Hill one is particularly cute), so take your pick and head on over for one of the best brunch deals in the city. For $24.95 a person you can get bottomless bloody marys, mimosas, screwdrivers, as well as coffee, tea, and juice; and you will also be able to pick from a menu of entrée options. Oven hot rustic bread and a choice of parfait, granola, or salad will be served with the meal. You just can’t find a better deal than that! Some of the tastiest entrees include Steak Frites and Medium Rare’s Famous Egg’s Benedict. The full menu can be found here.

Lincoln

Brunch hours: 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. [caption id="attachment_6207" align="aligncenter" width="632"]brunch Courtesy of Lincoln Restaurant[/caption] What better way to celebrate the start of the new year in Washington, D.C., then to go to Lincoln and really feel a part of the city’s history and culture (the restaurant is famous for their “penny floor”). On New Year’s Day, you’ll be able to partake in the $49 a person pre-fixe menu, inclusive of food and drinks. The menu will include, “Unlimited chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits, omelet & waffle station, two sides and unlimited bloody Mary’s, mimosas, and bellinis.” You can also order from the regular brunch menu, a la carte. The best part is that like Medium Rare, you can show up in your pajamas and experience brunch in the utmost comfort.

At Logan Tavern, you’ll be able to design your own perfect bloody, from the liquor to the spice to the additions, all for $10. They can create a classic perfectly, but if you’re feeling more adventurous in the New Year, dress it up with cream cheese, smoked bacon, and a slice of jalapeño, maybe even all in one drink! You can view the full brunch menu here and the Bloody Mary menu here.
