Organization officially doesn't give a what about your waistline.

Cookie Monster said it best: “C is for cookie, that's good enough for me.” C is also for Caramel Chocolate Chip, the new flavor of heaven rolled out by the Girl Scouts of the USA for 2019 sales.

On August 14, the Girl Scouts announced that it is adding a gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie with a hint of sea salt to the already tasty lineup. It now joins 11 other flavors that you won’t be able to avoid buying from your co-worker's kid.

The organization describes the treat as “rich caramel, semisweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt in a chewy cookie,” that will be available in “select Girl Scout council markets for as long as supplies last.”

Cookie season starts in January, so we’ve got a wait before we can try out this decadent goodness, assuming we can find the new flavor, that is. If you're all about the serious cookie search, the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app for iPhone and Android may be your answer. It may not tell you which flavors are for sale, but it will at least save you from driving the streets to find an active dealer…er, cookie seller.

And, of course, Girl Scout Cookies are about much more than stuffing our faces with an entire box (or three) in one sitting…in the dark…in our elastic-waisted pajamas.

“Every box you buy helps power unique and amazing experiences for the awesome girls who sell them—it also gives her the opportunity to learn essential life skills, soar in confidence, and quickly discover the leader within,” the Girls Scouts related.
