Target is selling "Golden Girls" costumes that will transform you into Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, or Sophia.
Throwing a Halloween party out on the lanai? Looking to turn more heads this Halloween than Blanche does at the Rusty Anchor? Then, does Target ever have the costume for you.
The retailer has rolled out a line of Golden Girls costumes for each of our favorite mature ladies, complete with a dress and jewelry. Pair it with your the right wig and accessories (think Sophia's wicker purse) and you'll magically transform into the Queen of Sarcasm Dorothy Zbornack, the sassy Sicilian Sophia Petrillo (costume is complete with her signature glasses), ditzy but kind-hearted Rose Nylund (Target doesn't appear to have this on its site at the time of publishing), and last but not least, the hot-to-trot Blanche Devereaux. Wigs are also available for purchase.
As I write this, it appears all but Sophia's costume is sold out on the Target site (people must have ordered them faster than Sophia books it from Shady Pines), and unfortunately, they don't have them in stores. But, don't drown your sorrows in cheesecake just yet because the company that makes the costumes, Toynk Toys, has the costumes and wigs available on its site! So, gear up golden-style, throw a party, and invite everyone you know. Really, these costumes are ideal for everything: Halloween, a Golden Girls cruise, or a trip to St. Olaf for the Crowning of the Princess Pig.
