Habit Burger, the California-based chain, is set to open a new location in Gaithersburg on January 10.

Soon Montgomery and Gaithersburg area residents will be able to enjoy charbroiled burgers and more at a new Habit Burger location, when its third Washington, D.C. restaurant will open on January 10. The new, 2,763-foot location will open at 464 North Frederick Avenue in the Gaithersburg Square Shopping Center. But you won't have to wait very long to have a taste of the delicious burgers. In anticipation of the grand opening, Habit Burger will be offering free burgers, fries and a drink to the first 200 guests on three separate dates: January 6, 7 and 9 at 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. [caption id="attachment_7236" align="aligncenter" width="700"]habit burger Courtesy of hospitality.usc.edu[/caption]
Habit Burger currently has locations in Rockville and in Ashburn, Virginia. The company will also be opening locations in Waldorf and University Park this spring. The Habit Burger chain began in Santa Barbara, California in 1969. Since then, the company has opened locations throughout California, Arizona, Utah, New Jersey, Florida, Nevada, Idaho, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington State, and even has a location in the United Arab Emirates. [gallery type="rectangular" size="large" ids="7235,7234"] Habit Burger's charbroiled burgers are made on stainless steel char broilers and cast-iron grills that produce a high quality that few other places can match. Their menu selection includes fresh, hand-cut salads as well as chargrilled sushi-grade tuna, hand-filleted marinated grilled tri-tip and fresh chicken grilled sandwiches. The restaurant's dessert menu is equally as incredible, between its milkshakes, malts, ice cream cones and sundaes, you'll have no trouble leaving with an empty stomach. Will you be checking out the new location when it opens? Or will you be stopping by before the grand opening to take advantage of the free meals? Let us know in the comments below.
