Three words: BABY. BALD. EAGLES. -- Need we say more?

While everybody else has been consumed with March Madness, we've found ourselves more interested in #HatchMadness instead. In northern Colorado, there's a large bald eagle's nest in a cottonwood tree, just outside of Plattesville along the bank of the St. Vrain River. And ever since Sunday, March 25, Xcel Energy has been keeping an eye on the three eggs tucked away inside; the company has a natural gas plant with a bird's eye view of the nest. Two of the eggs have already hatched, one on Sunday and the other on Monday, and the wait continues as we anticipate the birth of the third eaglet. "Will we get a third baby bald eaglet?" Xcel Energy tweeted on Tuesday. Hopefully, we will soon! From the looks of things, the baby eaglet should hatch any day now. We'll update this article as often as possible, so keep it in your bookmarks and join us as #HatchMadness continues!
