Want some four-legged company while you take in the beauty of our great state? Go hiking with llamas!

Honestly, we're a little upset that we didn't think of this sooner, 'cause it's brilliant! Not only do the llamas provide some four-legged company, but they do all of the heavy-lifting so you can still enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer without dealing with the added weight of your gear dragging you down.

And luckily for you, we've found a hiking adventure in Virginia that will let you go hiking with llamas. So saddle up, partner – it's llama time!

Applewood Inn in Lexington is much more than your average B&B; it's got llamas! With special wildflower hikes in the spring, snowy treks in the winter, and everything else in between, guests have plenty of opportunities to visit the Applewood Inn throughout the year, all while getting up close and personal with some incredible animals.

Guests can choose from several vacation packages, all of which can be viewed here. Also, don't forget to make a reservation ahead of time!

So, what do you think? Have you gone hiking with llamas before? If so, share your experience with us in the comments.
