The Ruckersville offers farm-to-table dining and floors of antiques.

Good restaurants and shopping abound in Virginia, but there's no experience quite like Jack's Shop Kitchen in Ruckersville. Located 15 minutes from Charlottesville, Virginia, visitors can dine at their New American gastropub and browse antique finds all in one place. The fact that it resides in a former tractor showroom only adds to its charm!

Since Jack's focuses on farm-to-table fare (they operate a working farm) the restaurant uses ingredients that reflect what's currently in season. As a result, the menu is constantly changing and always fresh. Selections range from salads and sandwiches to supper specialties like maple-glazed salmon and hand-crafted pasta. Morning-dwellers won't want to miss their breakfast offerings, as people come far and wide to try their homemade cinnamon rolls!

After you eat, feel free to head on over to do some antique shopping. The building hosts multiple floors of vintage finds, so you can quite literally browse the afternoon away. Explore home furnishings, decor, and funky knick-knacks to spice up any shelf space. And there's a lot more where that came from—bargain-hunters can venture across the street to The Country Store Antique Mall for more shopping. We're not exaggerating when we say this is a thrifter's paradise!

In non-COVID times, their event calendar is filled with wine tastings and themed dinners, so there's always something to do. Whether you're there for the flavorful cuisine, the antique malls, or the atmospheric Blue Ridge Mountains, you won't regret your time spent there!
