The imprisoned star of "Tiger King" is moving into isolation due to COVID-19 fears.

Even our distractions seem to not be immune to the COVID-19 outbreak that is sweeping the country and the world. Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as "Joe Exotic," the star of the wildly popular Netflix documentary series Tiger King, has been moved into "a COVID-19 isolation" whilst serving a 22-year sentence for murder-for-hire and animal abuse. According to the 57-year-old's husband, Dillon Passage, 24, he is in an individual quarantine.

“We speak like three to five times every day, but since he’s been moved to this new facility, they are putting him on a COVID-19 isolation because of the previous jail he was at, there were cases,” Passage said of Joe Exotic. “I’ve yet to speak to him since he moved.”

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness follows the rise and steep fall of Joe Exotic’s wild animal zoo in Oklahoma, along with his musical and political aspirations, and his hatred of fellow big cat zoo owner, Carole Baskin (who's controversial in her own right). That hatred led to the murder-for-hire plot that ultimately landed Joe Exotic in jail.

As anyone who has watched the show knows, Joe Exotic is always looking for his next money-making opportunity, and neither an orange jumpsuit nor iron bars will stop him. Along with suing various government agencies and business partners for well over $100 million, the controversial celebrity is using his newfound national fame to solicit money from his fans via Facebook.

According to the post, Joe Exotic himself will answer your letters and emails personally from prison, provided you send money for his commissary.

Will you pay for the privilege to have the Tiger King himself respond to your email? Or is watching one of the most bizarre shows on Netflix enough for you? Tell us in the comments!
