A mere day after Joe Flacco made his opinion known and criticized the Broncos coaching staff, accusing them as being "afraid to lose" and "afraid to be aggressive," he's slotted to miss Sunday's matchup against the Browns due to a herniated disc in his neck.

Flacco will be re-evaluated during the bye week, however, it is a possibility that he could be placed on injured reserve.

"Joe's not going to play this week. He's got a disk or neck injury," said Broncos coach Vic Fangio. "He'll definitely miss this week and then we'll reevaluate after the bye and see where it's at."

It's not known if Flacco will need surgery for the neck injury, but Fangio said that "those things are fluid" and "they don't know yet." So, at this time, anything could happen.

Flacco will be replaced in the Week 9 game by Brandon Allen, according to reports. Then, it'll be decided if Brett Rypien will be signed and elevated to the roster from the practice squad, or if fellow rookie Drew Lock will be moved from injured reserve to be Allen's backup.

Flacco was acquired by the Broncos back in February of this year from the Baltimore Ravens.
