Get out of the house, and enjoy free kids' entertainment and activities at The AVENUE at White Marsh at 10 a.m. this Thursday, July 18.
Parents with little ones understand the importance of getting out of the house! If your child isn't going stir-crazy confined inside, then you surely are. Unfortunately, lots of activities cost money, which not everyone has an abundance of. But THE AVENUE at White Marsh has come to the rescue. Every first Thursday of the month, from April to October, they host a fun-filled morning of activities and entertainment geared towards children 5 and under.
If you happen to check it out during the summer months, and the heat is too much, you can go inside Barnes & Noble for storytime at 10 a.m. as well.
So far this summer, THE AVENUE has hosted a visit from the Easter Bunny in April, given out flowers in May, and had fun with Maryland mascots in June. Due to the first Thursday of July falling on the 4th, and the second having inclement weather, TOTS@10:00 has rescheduled their July "Be a hero!" theme for this Thursday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to noon. If your little ones love superheroes, this is one you won't want to miss!
After you enjoy their free entertainment and activities, you can stay for lunch and enjoy free meals for your kiddos from nearby eateries such as MidiCi Italian Kitchen, Brown Rice Korean Grill, Red Brick Station & SLICE, and Chili's. You can also score a complimentary mini-cupcake from SmallCakes with the purchase of a regular-sized one, or cool off with a free kids' ice cream from Cold Stone with the purchase of a like-it or larger ice cream.
I took my own son to "Springtime Fun" in May, where we enjoyed music, bubbles, free giveaways, lots of space to run around, and best of all, a fountain to splash in. There was lots of parking – and even a Starbucks for this mama to get her caffeine fix. We can't wait to go back.
