Walk-up vaccines will be available every day except for Orioles game days.

People living in central Maryland will soon have a way to get a vaccine without an appointment. Beginning on Friday, April 9, the mass vaccination site at M&T Bank Stadium will offer a limited number of walk-up vaccine appointments each day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. except on Orioles game days. The news comes just two days after Governor Larry Hogan announced that all Maryland residents aged 16 and over are eligible to receive a COVID vaccine. The site will only offer 200 walk-up appointments per day, but officials said that could change in the future.

The walk-up appointments will be first-come, first-serve and people should be prepared to wait in line. Due to parking constraints, no walk-up appointments will be offered on days when the Orioles are playing at Camden Yards. Appointment-free vaccines are currently available at other sites around the state including Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury and the Premium Outlets site in Hagerstown. New sites are expected to be added as vaccine supply is increased.

As of April 5, 2021, every Marylander aged 16 and over is eligible to receive a vaccine if they want one. The new date is almost three weeks earlier than the previously announced target date. Officials said they would still prioritize people in phase one and phase two who have not already received a vaccine. All Maryland residents are also eligible now to pre-register for mass vaccine sites at coronavirus.maryland.gov.

Vaccines are available at mass vaccine sites, drugstores, local health departments, and providers.
