Love them or leave them, the Shamrock Shakes are on their way back. This year, McDonald's has given them a chunky sidekick, the OREO Shamrock McFlurry.

While the iconic bright green shakes are on the controversial side for being unbelievably sweet, the OREO Shamrock McFlurry looks pretty good, with its craggy shards of cookies. People who love mint chocolate chip ice cream are bound to fall in love with this new soft serve concoction.

Both versions of the minty green treats will be out on February 19 this year, giving you plenty of time to get in on the fun. McDonald's had this to say about the pair of seasonal products:

“We’ve been serving the iconic, cult-favorite Shamrock Shake for 50 years and it’s become synonymous with McDonald’s ever since,” said McDonald’s Vice President of Menu Innovation, Linda VanGosen. “We’re excited to serve up a new way to experience the one-of-a-kind Shamrock flavor in our new OREO Shamrock McFlurry. Our chefs worked to get the perfect balance of OREO cookies and mint for this new delicious dessert. We can’t wait for customers to get a taste this spring.”

The news just came out, but people are already getting pretty excited about this new release and the return of their old favorite.
