If all-day breakfast is your thing, then this local favorite simply can't be beat. From weekend brunch to Southern specialties, the Mason-Dixon Café has got all of your bases covered.

The weekend brunch is one of the most popular meals at the Mason-Dixon Café. They have all of the basic breakfast-y dishes, but add their own gourmet twist. For example, their enormous buttermilk pancakes are served with a spiced cardamom butter and real maple syrup.

Get there early if you want to be seated right away. The crowds build up quickly on the weekends but food comes out at a rapid pace. Seating ranges from counter stools, booths, and tables that can be pushed together for larger parties.

Some of the best dishes I've tried there include:

The Breakfast Club
Eggs, cheese, sausage, and bacon are all sandwiched between warm wedges of fresh Belgian waffle. Rich maple syrup is on the side for those who want to dunk this delicious creation.

The Keto Steak and Eggs
Don't despair if you're trying to avoid carbs; they have a whole keto-friendly section of the menu. Fresh avocado slices are nestled beside a steak done to your liking and a pair of eggs. Yum!

Buttermilk Pancakes
Even if you order something else, get a plate of these for the table. They're fluffy, huge, and the aforementioned cardamom butter really makes a big difference!

In addition to their all-day breakfast and weekend brunch, the rest of their extensive menu looks pretty incredible. Weekly specials include happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday–Friday ($2 off all appetizers, $1 off rail drinks, beer, and wine), Half-Price Hot Dog Tuesdays from 5 to9 p.m., and Wine and Dine Wednesdays for half-price bottles of wine from 5 to 9 p.m.

If you're not from the area, it's worth a quick detour if you're heading out somewhere on I-95. Make your next brunch date at the Mason-Dixon Café and you won't regret it!

She enjoys cooking and finding activities that can drown out heavy metal guitar riffs.
