The 60,000-square-foot music venue will hold its grand opening ceremony in August.
As we announced nearly a year ago, the RiNo neighborhood is expanding with the addition of a massive, state-of-the-art music venue called the Mission Ballroom. The 60,000-square-foot venue, which will be able to hold anywhere from 2,200 to 3,950 guests at a single time, will open its doors on August 7.
Several musical guests are set to perform over the opening weekend, including The Lumineers (Aug. 7), Trey Anastasio Band (Aug. 9-10), Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals (Aug. 12), Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (Aug. 12), Steve Miller Band (Aug. 13), and Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives (Aug. 13).
"What an honor to be the very first band to be playing this beautiful new venue!" said The Lumineers, in a news release.
A new ticket system will be in place for the venue, Mission Fair Ticketing, which will give equal access for tickets to all fans. Because of this, any automated ticket-buying systems and ticket brokers will be unable to buy blocks of tickets, as they have in the past. The "cutting-edge method is accessible and straightforward, and more fair than traditional ticketing platforms," states AEG Presents Rocky Mountains in a statement. "Everyone who wants a ticket has an equal chance of obtaining one, and the process is user-friendly."
However, not all events will use the Mission Fair Ticketing system -- shows utilizing it will be clearly noted.
Opening Weekend Tickets:
Tickets for the opening weekend will be available for purchase starting on March 19 at 8 a.m., with fans having until March 24 at noon to request tickets. You will receive a notification on March 28 if your order has been processed, but it's not guaranteed that you'll be selected to receive tickets. Please note that guests are only allotted up to four tickets per show.
Also, any opening weekend tickets that go unsold/unrequested will be placed on the standard AXS ticketing page on March 29 at 10 a.m.
The Mission Ballroom will feature top-notch technology, including sound and light equipment, along with a dance floor, full-service bars, and a moveable stage.

"Mission Ballroom was designed with three core components that up to this point have not been fully integrated together in the club concert experience in the United States: flexibility in capacities, unrivaled sightlines, and state-of-the-art in-house sound and lighting. Fans and the bands will love it," said Chuck Morris, CEO of AEG Presents.
AEG Presents, who is working with Westfield Co. to construct the venue, also operates the Bluebird Theater, Gothic Theatre, Ogden Theatre, 1STBANK Center, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre, among many others in Colorado.
