Sick of insincere commercials during the pandemic? You're not alone.
We've all seen those commercials from companies assuring us that we're not alone, that they have our back in these uncertain times, and that we're all in this together. They're also sure to mention how we can help support them during these difficult times.
Well, this very well-done spoof of "Every Car Commercial During COVID" hit YouTube about two weeks ago, and makes fun of those very commercials. With over 90 thousand views, it's definitely worth a watch!
The video was posted with this simple message:
Sick of these COVID car commercials, so I made a more realistic one.
Support local businesses, and thanks to all those fighting on the front lines to keep us safe!

We seriously love this and applaud whoever is behind it. The YouTube account is relatively unknown, with only 39 subscribers, but it's making some serious rounds on the internet. People totally get it and feel the same way.
Here’s what the Twitterverse is saying about all these pandemic commercials:
Commercials in 2030 be like:

Were you or someone you know overly exposed to hand sanitizer, Lysol, or bleach during the Coronavirus pandemic?
If so, you may be eligible for compensation.#wednesdaymorning #WednesdayVibes pic.twitter.com/AkooIOJs3Z
Truly appreciate Arby's TV commercials in the Age of the Roni because while every other company is going "We're with you, now, more than ever" they're still fucking blasting trap beats, daring you to pretend you cared about getting sick at Arby's before the pandemic.

Look I’m trying to watch TV to forget that I’m living through a pandemic and stuck inside. Your positive “we’re in this together” commercials are cute but they are not helping me accomplish my goals here

Commercial breaks during the pandemic are a slog.

It’s weird that kids from like 20 years from now will watch the pandemic commercials that came out and make fun of them

I can't wait until the pandemic is over so that companies will stop telling me that they're my friend in commercials, and go back to treating me like the consumer whore I am.

The “ Pianodemic “ must stop!! I can’t take anymore commercials with sappy piano music and pandering the pandemic, in order to sell products...that have nothing to do with helping the pandemic. It’s sooo annoying. 🙄🙄 (seriously count them) pic.twitter.com/dPmIO8STDT

If there’s one thing that’s giving me hope, it’s the endless stream of heartfelt commercials from giant corporations showing pandemic montages backed by emotional piano tracks from stock music libraries. ❤️

Gimme funny commercials, I know it's a pandemic, make me effing laugh. I'm not ever buying anything from any of these companies running sentimental ads.
Please
Thank you
Are you overloaded with pandemic commercials telling you how much they care about you and are here to support you continuing to give them your money? Do you feel like any of it is sincere or simply another marketing ploy? What would you rather see and hear in commercials right now?
