Three people were injured when someone drove their car into the front of a Taco Bell restaurant in Charles County.

Charles County police are looking for the driver of a car who drove through the front doors of a restaurant in Waldorf, injuring three people. On Wednesday, March 31 at 10:23 p.m. a female suspect drove into the front doors of a Taco Bell in Waldorf, hitting three people. The suspect then simply backed out and drove away.

Two people were treated at the scene and another was transported to a hospital but is expected to be okay. The incident happened after occupants of the car got into an altercation with an employee in the drive-thru.

A customer at the restaurant captured shocking video of the crash and posted it to social media.

Police say the incident at the Taco Bell on Smallwood Dr. started when someone in the car started an argument and assaulted a worker at the drive-thru. The chaos continued in the front of the restaurant, where the suspects and employees began yelling at one another. The car sped towards the front doors where several employees were standing and stopped short. More words were exchanged and the driver rammed through the restaurant, hitting multiple people standing by the doors.

Another customer at the restaurant filmed the argument and the crash and posted it online. The video of the accident is difficult to watch. Police found the car involved at a house close to the restaurant but they are still searching for the suspects. If you have any information about the driver or occupants in the car, you are asked to call Officer Stine at 301-932-2222. You can remain anonymous by calling Charles County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS or you can submit information online at charlescountycrimesolvers.com or by using the P3Intel mobile app. A cash reward of $1,000 is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest and indictment of these suspects.
