What better way to get kids moving than to enroll them in camp?

After months of lockdown, Virginia is reopening, just in time for summer fun. Prince William County is offering dozens of day camps with everything from arts and crafts to outdoor sports. Search the available listings here and register soon—spots are filling up quickly!

You can sort the available camps by age, date range, location, activity, and more. They even have instructional classes for adults and seniors! Once you've chosen a camp or course, all payments can be made securely online.

Some of the cool day camp options include:

  • Let's Go Skate Camp: From the fundamentals of skateboarding to learning half-pipe tricks, this is a great option for kids who love to skate or are just getting started. Pad and helmets are required for this unique camp at Veterans Skatepark in Woodbridge.
  • Silver Lake Trading Post: Kids will enjoy fishing and boating on beautiful Silver Lake in Haymarket, along with educational hikes along the miles of nature trails. This is a week they won't soon forget after getting back to nature.
  • Junior Space Camp: Exploring space from a camp on Earth will be endless fun at the Pat White Center at Ben Lomond in Manassas. Participants will experience spacecraft flight simulators and find out what it's like on other planets. Even science and engineering projects are fun when you're doing them with your summer camp buddies!

When she’s not out with friends or family, she's home with her musician/artist husband Tony and their Jindo, Hachi. She enjoys cooking and finding activities that can drown out heavy metal guitar riffs.
