A Manhattan is the perfect cocktail to enjoy after a long week. We've found the best Manhattans in Denver for you to enjoy!

A Manhattan is a cocktail made with whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters. Traditionally rye whiskey is used, but other common choices include Canadian whisky, bourbon, blended whiskey, and Tennessee whiskey. Finding a perfect Manhattan isn't easy, but these Denver spots have nailed it!

Pizza Republica

Address: 686 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80246 [gallery type="rectangular" size="large" ids="32693,32538,32537"] I know. You'd never expect a pizza place to have anything better than average cocktails -- that's not their specialty, after all. But Pizza Republica has absolutely nailed the classic Manhattan. Their Manhattan is perfectly balanced. Made with Basil Hayden, Carpano Antica Vermouth, Averna Amaro, and Angostura Bitters, it's sweet enough to cut the bite of the liquor, but it still maintains the oaky flavor that whiskey drinkers are looking for. It's genuinely one of the best Manhattans I've ever had. While you're there, you should also try some of their delicious traditional pizza, or grab a slice of tiramisu! It definitely won't disappoint!

Chocolate Lab

Address: 254 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80206 [gallery type="rectangular" size="large" ids="32540,32541,32542"] The Chocolate Lab has a bit of a different take on the classic Manhattan, since (almost) everything in their shop comes with a little chocolate flare! They make their Manhattan with chocolate bourbon to add a bit of extra sweetness. Don't worry though, it isn't overpoweringly sweet at all! Give the chocolate ravioli a try while you're there as well -- it's surprisingly delicious!

To The Wind Bistro

Address: 3333 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80206 [gallery type="rectangular" size="large" ids="32543,32544,32545"] This little bistro does a good job keeping themselves under the radar, because they're never as full as they'd be if people knew about them. It's unlikely you'll ever have a wait, so be sure to check them out before they get more popular! Their Manhattan is a perfectly balance of sweetness and a boozy kick. Anything on the menu is absolutely delicious, but keep in mind that everything is cooked to order. So don't be too surprised if your food takes a little longer to come out than usual.

Union Lodge No. 1

Address: 1543 Champa St., Denver, CO 80202 [gallery type="rectangular" size="large" ids="32546,32547,32548"] You may be concerned that this bar is going to be touristy, given its proximity to the 16th Street Mall. Don't worry, this little gem is securely hidden inside an unassuming building. You can honestly get anything here, but they have one of the best Manhattans I've ever had. All their cocktails are truly handcrafted and unique.

Williams & Graham

Address: 3160 Tejon St., Denver, CO 80211 [gallery type="rectangular" size="large" ids="32551,32550,32549"] I'm always impressed when a bar that specializes in unique, handcrafted, and truly different cocktails still manages to completely nail the traditional favorites as well. Williams & Graham is also pretty unassuming, given that its themed as a traditional speakeasy and the true bar is hidden behind a bookshelf in a seemingly unassuming bookstore. There you have it! Our list of where to get the best Manhattans in Denver! Did your favorite spot for a nice drink make our list? If not, tell us about it in the comments below. Cheers!
