Virginia's favorite Christmas movie choice is a shock for sure.

It’s officially the season of giving, hot chocolate, and snow, which means that your movie playlist will change -- from your typical favored genres to stories involving Santa Claus, Christmas trees, and festivity (check out our Hallmark movie drinking game here!).

Streaming Observer teamed up with Mindnet Analytics and used Google trends to come up with a favorite movie for each state. The list may surprise you!

So what's Virginia's most-watched Christmas movie? Die Hard!

Virginia is the state for lovers, and as so we usually end up curling up on the couch watching our favorite Christmas movie of the season—as we watch the snow fall outside -- and apparently it's Die Hard.

Don't think Die Hard's a Christmas movie? Think again. While this debate may never be fully settled, the film is set on Christmas Eve during a Christmas party!
