Though it usually takes place in the summer, Awesome Con is scheduled on Easter weekend this year. The lineup is great, and record crowds are anticipated!
Awesome Con, as its name suggests, is an awesomely fun annual convention that showcases comics of all kinds --and much more! No matter where you're coming from, Awesome Con is a crowd-pleaser, thrilling fans of comic books, visual art, animation, video games, cosplay, Sci-Fi, and pop culture. TICKETS: $35–$150 | Multi day passes available | Purchase here Every year tens of thousands of people descend upon Washington, D.C.’s Convention Center to browse and buy their favorite and new comic books from the countless Awesome Con vendors, meet and greet famous celebrity guests, and learn from artists, writers, and comic geniuses at the many panels and workshops. This year's star-studded lineup is expected to draw even larger crows than ever, possibly breaking previous attendance records. Con-goers will also have the chance to meet and hear from the creative geniuses behind such comics as Deadpool, Spiderman, Danger Girl, American Vampires, Batman, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, and many more.
While the guest and celebrity appearances are a big draw for many, Awesome Con also features informative panel discussions and things like Cosplay fashion shows, film exhibits, and a video game room stocked with dozens of brand new and classic games on all the latest and older game consoles.

Awesome Con has also made sure that it caters to younger kids as well as teens with the Awesome Con Jr. pavilion which features entertaining and educational events over the course of the three days. The event’s Future Con is devoted to science and science fiction and the curious-minded Con-goer.
