Everybody Should Try Karting

Despite being the team HQ for Furniture Row Racing and last year's NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series Champion, Martin Truex Jr. the people of Denver don't really come across as NASCAR fans. After all, I had to request that the championship race at Homestead be put on the TV at the bar I was at. Perhaps I was just at the wrong place, or maybe people here are just more interested in small plates instead of small blocks. Whatever the case might be, there's one race we can all love: The Little 600. The Little 600 is a go-kart race featuring some of NASCAR's biggest names -- like Chase Elliot, Joey Logano, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Larson, and Darrell Wallace Jr., just to name a few -- and they drive those things like they're rentals (which they are).
Don't believe me? Check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPDiBQEH_Z8&t=1s The race is part of the larger 600 Festival in Charlotte which hosts other events, concerts, and a parade, and it happens every May. Better yet, the race is free to watch and the rest of the events are reasonably priced. So if you've got a little one who loves cars, racing, or NASCAR or you've got some buds who enjoy tradin' paint just as much as you do, maybe you should start making arrangements for next year now. As for me, I had no clue this even existed, and I'm a bit ashamed of myself. But I am from Denver after all, and I guess that means I'll have to do a few laps at a track here for my penance. What are your thoughts? Have you ever been to the Little 600? If so, how was it? Let us know in the comments below!
