Fans of The Muppets will get to see Kermit The Frog and company on the silver screen once again!

Kermit the Frog and the rest of the Muppet gang will be celebrating quite the anniversary date. The Muppet Movie (1979) will play in theaters nationwide on Tuesday, July 30, in order to celebrate the film's 40th anniversary. The film was already released in theaters last Thursday, July 25, so if you missed this first showing, there's still some time to see it!

The Muppet Movie was the first theatrical film featuring the beloved characters and was conceived by The Muppet Show writers and produced by Jim Henson himself.

The film's story centers on Kermit the Frog moving from the swamps to Hollywood. It features the same humor that made The Muppet Show such a comedic marvel, and it includes Oscar-nominated numbers, like "The Rainbow Connection."

Tickets for the screenings are available for purchase at Fathom Events or in any participating theater box offices.
