Barbecue is seriously the best, and we've put together three spots you need to try ... pronto!

Hill Country Barbecue Market

410 7th St, NW, Washington, D.C., 20004 Hill Country works a little differently than typical sit-down restaurants. You pick out your meat and pay based on weight. You can add sides like salad, chili, or cornbread, all served cafeteria-style! Finish off with mac and cheese, burnt ends, or green bean casserole. Browse the full menu of options here. Although barbecue may be the main event, Hill Country has a lot more than just food. They act as a music stage, hosting local musicians, as well as country artists on the road. For the calendar of performances, visit the website here. [caption id="attachment_6695" align="aligncenter" width="300"]barbecue Courtesy of gilt.com[/caption]
